My nephew John has been in the hospital on and off for over two weeks and has been close to death numerous times.  His medical bills are quickly adding up and rising everyday. Although John does have insurance there will be a massive cost out of pocket that the family can not provide. With his first granddaughter on the way and with John out of commission his family is struggling to keep up. We do not know at this time when, or if he will be able to return to work and as the primary breadwinner of the household this is extremely detrimental to the families financial stability. 

There is a large mass in one of his kidneys that is almost the same size as the kidney itself and the doctors are 90% sure is it cancerous. As his lung continues to fill with fluid, Johns condition remains dire. John will have to undergo rigorous cancer treatment and will need multiple surgeries to install a drainage tube to remove the fluid build up in his lung. Soon, he will transferred to Loma Linda as the hospital he is currently in “can’t do any more” for him. The treatment he will be receiving at Loma Linda will be much more aggressive but also much more expensive. 

My hopes for creating this page are to alleviate some of the stress the family is feeling so they can focus on being with John at this incredibly scary time in his life. Johns only son, John Micheal and his fiancé Samantha are doing everything in their power to keep the family afloat while also taking care of John. Every little bit will help and we greatly appreciate all of the love and prayers we have received thus far. John is a fighter and will make it through this but his family needs help.
