I never thought I'd be spending the last year of my 20's fighting cancer but here we are. In the summer of 2021 I began to feel symptoms that began to get worse pretty fast. Excessive hiccups and weight gain no matter how active I was or the diet I ate. After lots of testing and multiple biopsies through the holiday season last year I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Thyroid Cancer in January, based on the size of the tumor. Two surgeries later I had my thyroid removed and lymph nodes checked to make sure the cancer hadn't spread. Thankfully all signs are pointing to no spreading but I'll know for sure in the next few weeks after a round of radiation and final rounds of imagining. This is where GoFundMe comes into play. I'm very lucky to have insurance and most of my expenses covered but cancer is still really expensive and comes with extra costs like independent lab bills, special food for radiation diet, continued testing and therapy to help with the mental part of it. If you know me you know how hard I've work over the last ten years to get to where I am and hoping with some help I can keep climbing and just maybe come out of this without a mountain of debt and shadow of doubt cast over my future.

I know that everyone has their own things going on and it really humbles me to be this vulnerable to ask for help but I feel like it's my only shot to really break even. Thank you to everyone who's been there for me along the way already. Having to deal with a cancer diagnosis during a third wave of COVID wasn't easy but I'm still here because of your help.

I also want to take this moment to apologize to most of you who are just finding out this way - I wanted to call everyone independently but it's been too hard to really talk about. I hope you know I just didn't want you to worry.
