John Bonhorst (husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, dear friend and animal lover) passed away suddenly on September 12, 2021. Not only did his family suffer a significant loss, so did the family of volunteers for the Sociedad Benefactora y Proteccion Animales (SBPA) in San Carlos, Mexico.

 

Having moved to San Carlos in his retirement, John devoted countless hours to the SBPA's spay and neuter clinic and soon became a vital member of this dedicated group of volunteers. His impact on the organization was so great that the new SBPA spay and neuter surgical center (breaking ground this month) has dedicated a wall honoring John with his name on top as Clinic Manager. All donations made in his memory will be acknowledged on this wall.

 

John will be laid to rest in his beloved San Carlos later this year. In lieu of flowers, gifts, or cards, John's family is asking for a donation to the SBPA in his memory. His family and the countless number of animals this will impact are grateful.
