John Bairds new heart

My name is John Baird, I am a painter and sculptor living on the Mornington Peninsula. I have a congenital cardio myopathy [heart disease]. I am waiting for a donor in order to receive a heart and kidney transplant. The transplant team at the Alfred Hospital are doing a great job of caring for me, however, post operation the hospital will need to have me near by for a period of up to six months. In order to do this I will need to rent some accomodation near the hospital. My work rate has slowed as a result of the condition and I am going to need some help with the cost of doing this.
It is not possible to know when a donor will become available and therefore to know  when the funds will be necessary. I therefore hope to build a dedicated fund, ready to go.
