After the awful rains on Friday my grandparents along with both of their dogs had to be rescued by boat from Dorothy Patch. Their home has sustained pretty significant damage; they’ve had to rip up all the flooring down to the original hardwoods and will need to replace at least the lower half of all the walls on the first floor. They’ve lost all their appliances, furniture, and tons of irreplaceable sentimental things. Both vehicles are most likely totaled due to the damage. Replacing the things that are able to be replaced will cost a ton of money! They’ve lived there since the 70s so they had a lifetime of stuff in their home! They’ve raised 2 children, have had 4 grandkids grow up here, and 2 great grandkids who want to make memories in this home!
