John and Melissa Okey as John battles stage 4 cancer

This is hard for me to write up, but many of you know...a year ago in October John was diagnosed with bladder cancer. He started bladder infusions, and everything seemed to be going great. He powered through each infusion and his bladder appeared to be clear. Relief. Not for long however when he continued further treatment after his first round to prevent any spread...they discovered lesions on his bones/spine. That was a hard hit and took him out of work, and basically life as we knew it. In a UW Madison cancer center he was told they can't cure him, but they can try to stop it. He started infusions, and it's been a rough few months since. Financially, physically, emotionally. Disability is not much, and right before Christmas stopped completely due to doctor changes, but since are supposed to start up but that's minimal compared to what he was making. The bills don't let up. I don't have to explain that to anyone who's faced this. He continues to get infusions as he can tolerate them to try to stop the spread and gain quality of life.
