Hi everyone. As most of you know, my name is Austin and I am a high school senior being raised by my single mom, Jessica.
Unfortunately, my mother Jessica and her boyfriend John were in a traumatic motorcycle accident on December 22nd where they were both ejected from the bike, leaving them severely injured and hospitalized. John sustained a severed finger, shattered foot, and multiple broken vertebrae. Jessica has a shattered leg being held together by bolts and pins, and multiple unstable broken vertebrae awaiting surgery back surgery. Thank god they are both alert and alive, but have multiple surgeries, a lengthy hospital stay, and a long road to recovery ahead of them.
My mom and I live in a rented apartment and she financially supports us on her own. With this accident, it is going to be difficult to not only pay our bills, but handle the medical bills that will be accompanying this event.
I will be continuing my senior year of high school as a multi sport student athlete, and take care of our animals. I do have multiple family members and friends from around the community helping support me during this time but would love to get some funds together to help support my mom and surprise her for christmas. It’s a very hard time for me seeing her in a hospital bed and coming home each day since without her. I have many people supporting me through this so please do not feel obligated.
