Hi, my name is Earl Teopaco. I’m the oldest child(21) of John and Jennifer Dedmon. I started this GoFundMe with a heavy heart because my mother and father were sadly involved in an ATV accident over the Father’s Day Weekend and were admitted to the ICU in Utah Valley Hospital.
John and Jen and the entire family from Las Vegas were celebrating this Father’s Day Weekend at Yuba Lake State Park. On Saturday, June 16, John and Jen went out on an ATV ride. While out on the ATV there was an accident and they were thrown from the ATV and sustained serious injuries. Shortly after they were rushed to the closest hospital via helicopter.
My Mother, Jen, was admitted into the hospital with a broken ulna and radius in her left forearm, a fractured rib, a fractured pelvis, a few fractured vertebrae’s of the lower spine, and lacerations/road rash all over her body.
My father, John, was admitted into the hospital with a severe head injury. He has multiple facial fractures around his left orbital and is currently in a coma. The doctors are not sure when he will wake up. Doctors ran tests and have found his brain activity is almost completely normal with the acception that they have identified the bleeding in his brain to be a very minor Subarachnoid Hemorrage(SAH), so they are sort of perplexed to why he hasn’t woken up yet... The road to recovery for this type of injury is a long and winding road, so John will need all the loving support of his friends and family to help him through this tough time.
John and Jennifer are two loving souls, two warriors of light, who always do their best to create a better world, a better environment for themselves and everyone around them. They find their happiness in helping those around them find their happiness.
Besides me, John and Jen also have an 18yr old son, 12yr old son, and 10yr old daughter whom they love unconditionally and support financially, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Unfortunately, my father is the family’s main source of income while my mother is a stay at home mom which causes a little hiccup in handling the finances due to the intensive care that both my mom and dad need, the surgeries, cat scans and MRI’s, air transportation to the hospital, and regrettably not having any health insurance.
Any and all donations will be going towards our family to help with medical bills and any financial hardships due to my father not being able to work. Any amount helps. If you cannot donate, we still love you. My family and I just ask you pray for John and Jen and send them as much positive, healing energy as you can.
