John and Irene McMonigle Headstone

As many people in Govan will remember the horrifying story of John and Irene
McMonigle who were murdered in January 1976.

The community of Govan would like to ensure that these children’s memory lives on and give them a headstone that they deserve. This was discussed by a lot of the community in Govan to raise funds for this to happen.

We do have the families permission to raise this money for John and Irene but it was us that approached them and not them that approached us.
