John and Donna Lopez

On August 14th the lives of John and Donna Lopez were forever changed. On that day they were admitted to the hospital having contracted Covid-19. Both Donna and John were diagnosed with Covid pneumonia and placed on oxygen immediately. Luckily they were able to room together keeping each other company as they fought this horrible illness. Unfortunately after a week in the hospital John and Donna's kids, Pauline, Angela, and Jonathan, had to make the decision to have their father placed on a ventilator. He was taken to ICU away from his wife, Donna, and has been there ever since. He has since had to have a tracheotomy and a feeding tube in order to survive. He is still their today, September 19th, in ICU. He has been on and off of the ventilator. Donna on the other hand was able to heal and slowly use less and less oxygen. Just when we were ready to bring her home she suffered a debilitating stroke and micro bleeds in her eyes. She has loss the use of her left side and has loss all of her vision in her left eye and most of her vision in her right. This set back caused her use of oxygen to go back up and left her not only weak from the Covid infection but also unable to walk or use her left hand for anything, not to mention her loss of vision. She was finally released from the hospital on September 16th. Donna is bedridden and requires around the clock care for all of her needs. Once John is able to be released from the hospital and reunited with his wife, he will also require around the clock care. John and Donna's children, Pauline, Angela, and Jon, are asking for donations to help pay for the in home nursing care and for the medical supplies needed to care for their parents. Even if you are unable to financially help them out please keep Donna and John in your prayers, asking God to heal them completely and restore them to their former selves.
