Hello ,

My name is Kristin Stanifer . It has been a rough year for our family. My father John Herrick has been recently diagnosed with stage 4 bone and prostate cancer stage 4 . He is not doing well .He has lost a lot of weight and muscle mass. He is also in constant pain. We are doing all we can to lighten any stress and burdens .

My mother has been a powerhouse and has been handling everything herself. She had started getting sick . We thought it was all the stress she was going through until she went to the doctors. Her lab results noted something that the doctor wanted to look into asap. So they sent out for some testing on my mom as well.She gets her results back tomorrow. Doctors are suspecting colon cancer. This will be her third time having cancer.She is in pain and is in a continued state of stress between supporting and taking care of my father and herself. I am there should they ever need me at anytime ,but they try to shoulder everything theirselves. They don't want to burden anyone if they don't have to. They are both trying to get through this difficult time and support each other. They used to have Medicaid ,but have lost their benefits . So they have been paying for doctors visits and medications out of pocket with what little money they get from disability a month. And what financial assistance they can get through the hospital . Both of my parents were hard working people for years. They would help anyone who needed it . Still try to do what they can for others. But right now they are in a situation where bills are piling up. Rent ,water and electric are past due and bills are coming in for the next month. They desperately need money to help get their bills caught up and to have some money for medications and future doctors visits. Their is not much they can do for my father ,but they are trying to at least slow the cancer as much as possible and keep his health up to give his body a better chance to fight. My mothers treatment is still unknown for now . I will keep everyone updated should anything change. Both of my parents have been stressed on how to get money in order to get everything paid . These donations will tremendously help them relieve some of the stress off their hearts and minds.

My parents are also not tech savvy so I'm doing this on their behalf with their knowledge . We are only asking for what you can send. No amount is too little . And every penny is appreciated.

So friends , family , loved ones , new faces and old faces we would appreciate any donations given . It will be beyond a blessing to my family at this time.
