COVID-19      A  TRAGIDY

On August 18,2020 John Haley tested positive for COVID-19!!!! The beginning of a tragedy!!!! On August 26,2020 Angie Haley (John's wife) had to rush John to Cookeville Regional Hospital. The doctors and nurses had to put John on a bipap (which was doing 100% breathing for him) machine and then the ventilator and also put in the ICU unit. He continued to have a high fever, high blood pressure, and very low oxygen levels. On August 30, Cookeville Regional Hospital contacted Angie to make plans to send John to Centennial Hospital. He wasn't stable enough to be transported by regular ambulance and the weather wouldn't allow them to life flight John, so Vanderbilt sent their critical unit to pick up John in the Angel Ambulance. This transportation was sent from God with his Angels. I believe this with all my heart. On September 1st Angie(John's wife) and John Ryan (John's son) had tested positive for the corona virus but their symptoms were mild. They continued to quarantine and soon got better. Also on August 31st, John finally got situated at Centinnial Hospital in critical condition in the MSICU unit and also put on the ECMO machine. His oxygen levels continue to be in the 70's and 80's. They continued to keep him completely sedated so his lungs can heal. They also discovered that John is a diabetic, John's blood pressure also continued to run high at times. He is also on a feeding tube. These are controlled by different medications. They do try to wean John off the sedation to try to get him to follow commands but due to elevated blood pressures and oxygen levels dropping they have to quickly sedate him each time. On September 11th they did another test on John and it was still positive. Which also means that Angie can’t visit John. So they continue to Facetime with the nurses and they get to see John this way.  On September 16th John had a Tracheotomy surgery. The surgery went well and is healing well. On September 18th John’s kidneys started showing signs of damage and they started dialysis to pull off the fluids in his body. His oxygen levels continue to be in the 80's. John is very sick!!!!! They are controlling his blood pressure and diabetes with medications and still keeping him sedated. On September 21st they turned off the dialysis. John has been in the hospital for 26 days now and will continue to be there until he is able to come off the ECMO and is completely negative of COVID-19 which could take a few months. While he is there the medical bills are piling up and will continue to add up every day.  Angie has not been able to return to work and won't be able to go back until John is completely well. So if you can please donate and help this wonderful family.
