John & Erick Washbourne
Donation protected
John Washbourne's 15 year old son, Erick, is very ill with a rare disorder called Aplastic Anemia. John and his family have exhausted all medical options in Houston and will be moving their son to Children's Hospital Wisconsin-Milwaukee, which has the best outcomes and standard of care for this exact rare disorder.
Aplastic Anemia is a rare auto-immune disease and the best course of treatment for Erick is now to undergo hematopoietic stem cell transplant (aka bone marrow transplants).
Because of his weakened immune system, public transportation is not an option, so the family will be driving an RV to Milwaukee. During the next few months, John will be utilizing flex time to accommodate this stressful time, telecommuting as needed.
As you can imagine, the Washbourne family is currently dealing with the stress of making difficult decisions, navigating the medical system and relocating to another state. To offset some of the medical and transfer cost, and provide some relief to the Wasbhourne family, this GoFundMe has been set up.
