John & Caroline Halling Medical Expenses

My long time friend Caroline Halling and her husband John have come into some hard times due to unexpected medical issues and I am asking friends for financial assistance on their behalf to help them out. I met Caroline while working at Zetron Inc., a Mission Critical communications manufacturer (9-1-1 call-taking and dispatch systems), and we've been friends for nearly 20 years! Both being EA's, it is innate in our nature to take care of people and she has had my back so many times--I wanted to have hers in this difficult situation.
John Halling started having issues in May and was forced to quit his job as he became disabled after suffering from paralysis on one side of his body. His wonderful employer extended Kaiser medical coverage for a few months to help out--however, it doesn't cover long-term care. Medical assistance was delayed due to Wuhan Flu and there were several misdiagnoses and trips to the emergency room. It was first thought that John had suffered a stroke; then later they thought he may have a brain tumor. Ultimately last week, after a brain biopsy, John was diagnosed with a rare brain disease brought on by a past chemo drug, and for which there is no cure. John is currently waiting in a nursing facility in Portland, OR until Caroline can figure out how best to proceed. John will not be able to return home and options at this point are long-term nursing facility or adult group home
Of course, none of this was expected and the Halling's left Bellevue, WA only about a year ago to relocate to Vancouver, WA. The Halling's need help with medical expenses going forward, because of the high costs of a care facility and limited insurance coverage. Therefore, I am asking that friends donate whatever they are able to afford to help them out.
Any help will be much appreciated by both Caroline and John Halling. Please keep them in your prayers--after all, miracles DO happen! THANK YOU!!!
