Johanna Liz Horvath, of Ellenville, NY, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016. She was 38 years old. Johanna was born in Bridgeport, CT on April 17, 1978 to Rafael Santiago and Naida Mercado and  Gloria and the late Humberto Gonzalez; all helped raise Johanna into the beautiful person that she became.
 
Johanna had worked at the Ellenville Schools as a lunch monitor for the past 12 years. She enjoyed singing, reading and watching movies. But what she loved most was spending time with her family. Johanna will be deeply missed by her family and friends. 
 
 Johanna is survived by her children, Alexus Gonzalez and Gavin Horvath of Ellenville; her stepchildren, Jacqueline (Brian) Zelinsky, James (Alysa) Horvath III and Kayla Kupfer and her family; her brothers, Carlos A. Gonzalez (Leslie), Raphael Gonzalez (Ikuyo), Javier Gonzalez, Alex and Alfredo Mercado; her sister, Jessica Santiago; her grandchildren, Madilyn, James.
 
Johanna was predeceased by her husband James Horvath Jr. and her brothers Luis Gonzalez and Norman Mercado.
 
The family will be receiving friends on Monday, January 2nd from 1-3 pm with a funeral service beginning at 2:30 pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville, NY
