Johanna Gonzales Celebration of Life
Donation protected
Our mother, Johanna, passed away on May 11th, in the early hours of the morning, surrounded by her 3 children DominiQue Gloria, Ashley Paloma, and Jarred Thomas. In her last minutes she was sang to eternal rest, with one of her favorite catholic hymns, "Open My Eyes."
Those of you who know our mother understand why we describe her as being incredibly hard-working, beautiful, remarkably intelligent, and kind. She helped others in the best way she knew how and was an amazing teacher.
Johanna was battling critical health issues the last few years, and after a major coma in April 2022, she had faced grave challenges to live in the body that survived an event that should have killed her. She had spent a combined time of 6 months this last year in the hospital and if our love could have saved her, she would still be here.
We will always remember her as a fierce provider who was able to complete her higher education while taking full responsibility of parenting and expenses for 3 children. She was very much loved by her family, friends, co-workers, and all who knew her. Work was a huge part of who she was and she excelled in all her careers, always striving to do more.
We humbly ask and appreciate any donations at this time to help cover her celebraion of life and funeral costs. Anything is most appreciated and a true blessing for us during this time. We also ask for prayers of peace and comfort for her grandchildren: Aaliyah, Jayla, Mia, Leon, Lucian and Liam.
We are deeply grateful for all who have loved our beautiful mother, and our hearts will always be in heaven with her.
With love and gratitude,
DominiQue, Leon, Ashley, Jarred and Rachael.
