Honoring Joey Torres: A Mother’s Plea for Support

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-Hearted Supporters,

I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support in raising funds to purchase a tombstone for my beloved son, Joey Torres. At just 14 years old, Joey’s life was tragically taken due to gun violence, leaving an unimaginable void in our hearts.

As a grieving mother, the pain of this loss has been overwhelming. The emotional toll has been immense, and I have struggled with anxiety and depression in the aftermath of his passing. The hardship was further compounded by the loss of my job, making it incredibly difficult to afford the cost of a proper memorial for Joey.

No parent should ever have to bury their child. My greatest wish is to honor Joey’s memory with a tombstone that reflects the love and light he brought into our lives. Any contribution, no matter the amount, would bring us one step closer to giving him the tribute he deserves.
