Joey’s Final Farewell

Donation protected
We are looking to raise funds to help go with the costs of saying farewell to our brother, son, fiancée and friend!

As most will know Joey has been unwell for 8 years. It started at 16 when he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) it took four years of willpower, strength and courage to beat this disease. However…. Curing the Leukaemia triggered an auto immune disease. The reality of this was it was so rare there are currently no treatments available. Joey was known throughout the world in the medical profession as he was only one known to have this illness. Throughout extensive experimental treatment and stays in Birmingham hospital these treatments eventually took their toll. We lost Joey on the 25/11/2021 at 2037 in Shrewsbury Hospital surrounded by his loved ones, friends and even his dog Echo. We cannot thank the staff enough for their support on this day.

Joeys courage through this horrible journey cannot be comprehended and he is a beacon of light to all he has met over the years and has become an inspiration to everyone.

Details of Joeys final journey will be made public and at hand ASAP. We have had so much support over the years and we are so glad of the network of friends he has developed and the support they are bringing to each other in this horrible time!

We love you Joey, rest well brother x
