Joey's Bluecoats 2023 Tour Fees

Hello all! My name is Joey Krachenfels and I'm a current junior at Ball State University where I'm majoring in Instrumental Music Education! Last year, I had the opportunity to be part of the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps for the 2022 summer marching season! Throughout the summer, we toured around the country and performed at different venues, competing to be the best drum corps in the country! At the Drum Corps International World Championships in Indianapolis, we tied for 2nd place and won the Fred Sanford Best Percussion Performance award!

The Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps is a World-Class marching ensemble that consists of performers under the age of 22. They are also the 2016 Drum Corps International World Champion! Throughout the summer, they spend a month in spring training, where they put a 12-minute marching show together. Once that is over, they start to compete against other World-Class corps from late June to early August. Many people who have participated in drum corps come out of the season with a whole new level of musicianship, leadership, and a wide circle of friends.

With all of that said, I'm super excited to get the chance to be with the Bluecoats once again for my last eligible season! Unfortunately, it's not free to participate in this activity (It doesn't help that tour fees keep going up every season, but that's another story). The fees help to cover housing, equipment usage, instruments, uniforms, transportation, as well as other instructional needs. Any amount and share of this page will go a long way! Thank you!
