Joey and his journey to recovery

On May 24, my 21 year old brother's life changed forever due to a tragic motorcycle accident. While riding, he was struck from behind, and both he and his motorcycle were run over. The impact was devastating. My brother was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, suffering from a shattered pelvis and multiple internal injuries. He had to be intubated and placed in intensive care.

Over the following days and weeks, he underwent more than 15 surgeries, with many more to come. Due to the severity of his injuries, both of his legs had to be amputated. He now faces a long and challenging road to recovery, which includes intensive physical rehabilitation, learning to adapt to life with a new body, and coping with the profound physical and emotional toll this experience has taken on him.

Throughout this ordeal, my brother has demonstrated incredible strength and resilience, inspiring everyone around him. However, he and my family need help.

The funds raised will go toward:

- Medical expenses and ongoing surgeries

- Rehabilitation and physical therapy

- Adaptive equipment, prosthetics, and home modifications

- Transportation and daily living needs

- Long-term care and recovery support
