Joey Dennett Final Expenses Fund

This fund is being created by friends of Joey Dennett, to help settle final expenses. Perhaps as important, also to provide a foundation by which his longtime companion Joni may begin to rebuild her life after being his sole caregiver these many years.
Life is rarely fair, nor kind to everyone; God knows Joey & Joni have just endured a long tragic ending together. It is our wish that it end with dignity and the least amount of stress as possible, for everyone. I will administer the fund and manage the aftermath. An obituary and memory book will be created on the Jay B. Smith Funeral home website in the next several days.
There will be a cremation, and a Memorial/Celebration of life will be planned for a later date. This is what Joey would have wanted, we will all gather and share the stories and laughter that he brought to each of our lives.
When I think back on the lifetime of entertainment and joy/laughter he brought to everyone he met, I can't contribute nor do enough to pay my tab based upon that measurement. Those of us who knew and loved him would be hard pressed to argue that point. Please consider donating in lieu of flowers or charity donations in his name. Wishing everyone fond memories and hoping that you pause to remember our friend and value his contributions to the enrichment of all our lives this Thanksgiving.
