Help Me Cover Rent & Utilities While I Rebuild

Hi friends — I don’t usually ask for help, but I’m out of options and I need short-term relief to avoid eviction and shut-offs.

I’m currently trying to get back on my feet after a work separation and a long delay in benefits. I recently received an Iowa Administrative Law Judge decision ruling in my favor regarding unemployment benefits, and I also received notice that my workers’ compensation claim file has been opened and the insurer is responsible for investigating the claim. I’m sharing redacted copies for transparency.

Right now I’m trying to cover the basics:

• Rent: $928

• Utilities (behind): $375

• A personal debt I must pay: $500

My goal is $1,900 to stabilize for the month so I can keep moving forward, stay housed, and continue rebuilding.
