Help the Battistoni family
Donation protected
On March 30, 2015, my brother Joey Battistoni suffered a life-threatening brain hemorrhage. He was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center and placed in the Neurological Intensive Care Unit, where he has been receiving outstanding care ever since. Joey’s condition became so critical that doctors were forced to perform an emergency craniectomy in order to allow room for his brain to swell and heal. After 6-12 weeks, and depending on Joey’s progress, the piece of bone removed from the skull will be put back on.
The doctors have begun to bring Joey out of the heavy sedation he has been placed on for over two weeks, and he keeps getting a little better each day! The outpouring of love, support, and prayer is humbling. Joey has touched so many with his sweet smile and caring heart. We would like to thank all that are praying for his recovery; words cannot express our gratitude. Please continue your prayers that Joey will have a strong recovery that sets him on a road to a productive life. Joey will be surrounded and supported by friends and family throughout his recovery.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of Joey’s medical condition, he will be unable to work during the rehabilitation process. The loss of income, in addition to the medical expenses being incurred, will create a financial strain. We have faith that Joey will return to his energetic, bubbly, loving, and sweet self, but Joey will need all of the support possible in order to get him through this very difficult time. We would greatly appreciate any donation to help Joey as he begins and continues his journey to recovery. Any amount will help, and we are truly grateful for the assistance.
I will continue to give updates about my brother’s story as we move forward. Thank you again.
