Hi everyone,
My name is Heaven-Leigh Bennett.
On October 30th my 40 year old older brother Joey passed away unexpectedly. In the past week he had been in tremendous pain in his legs. To the point where he was mentioning going to the hospital to be checked out. But he was apparently terrified to go.. and the day after my mom got out of the hospital he was found unconscious downstairs of my mom’s home. There was approximately a 10 minute time frame from when my mom seen him, conscious - and then she went back up stairs and my cousin came down 10 minutes later and he found him unconscious• 911 was called and Jason started CPR. After an hour of effort Joey was gone. We are currently waiting for the results of the autopsy to let us know what happened for sure. It is believed he had a blood clot, or had a heart attack.
At this time we have no funds to bury my brother or to give him anything that he deserves. Anything and I mean anything helps. This man worked so hard to change his life around and I’m begging anyone who can help to help us give my brother even a little bit of the final resting he deserves.
He had just surpassed his 1 year of Sobriety. Proud as can be. He was the man he always knew he could be. A productive, sober, working man. Devoted dad to his young daughter. A grateful, and awesome uncle. Amazing brother. And the son my mom always needed him to be.
So I’m asking.. please. Anything at all helps.
My mother is 57 years old struggling from the loss of her 2nd child in her life. Her firstborn son. My mother is also struggling with her own mortality from End stage liver failure. We desperately needs anyone and everyone’s that can or will. We thank you alllll so much in advance.
