Hi, my name is Ora Crawford. I am setting up this Go Fund Me page on behalf of my niece and her husband Joey Sugg. On June 3rd, Joey was taken to UNC hospital because of dizzy spells and left eye vision problems. After he received a CT scan, they found a golf ball size mass on the left side of his neck. The doctor referred him to an ENT who then ran tests and did a biopsy. He was diagnosed with SCC (squamous cell carcinoma). He is currently receiving testing and more biopsies at UNC. After that, he will have to start chemo and radiation for 6 to 8 weeks. Joey will have to go to chemo once a week for 2 hours to get an infusion and 5 days a week for radiation. The family does not have medical insurance and will have to pay for everything out of pocket, in addition to trying to keep up a household and support their two children. As of now, the medical bill is already $11,000, and this is just the start. And as most know, chemo and radiation are hard on the body. So, unsure if h he will be able to work much.
