Joey Simpson funeral

Donation protected
Class of ‘83 and friends: Can we all collectively give Joey one more giant Fairfield Friends Forever hug? Maybe we can help the family with funeral/ burial expenses? Perhaps so Joey can have something left here on earth showing he was here? Any remainder perhaps to his kids? Maybe many of you feel like I do - and want to help? For those who didn’t know Joey, he was a son, a brother, a Marine, a husband, a father, an uncle, a grandfather and a friend. Joey was a diabetic. He was a double amputee who lost both legs to the disease. Joey lived in a substandard nursing home where he suffered unimaginable pain and indignities. He was a man with a sound mind living among elderly dementia patients. He was neglected and repeatedly robbed of the little he had. Yet Joey delighted in simple things- like getting a Diet Coke as a treat or a meal delivered from Bob Evans. Joey was too young to die- only 55.
