Joey Poppels Eagle Project for Wills Park

Hello. My name is Joey Poppel, and I am currently pursuing my Eagle Project. Wills Park needs help with parking during busy summer hours. This leaves umpires searching for spots, causing them to be late to games. Being late creates fines for the umpires, making them not want to be umpires anymore, as well as delays in the schedule, making games run late and spectators turn angry. In order for this issue to be avoided, I plan on reserving parking spots so the umpires have a place to park, ultimately ending the worry of late umpires.

In addition to the parking spots, I plan on building portable steps for safe horse mounting. The equestrian center at Wills Park has these steps. However, they do not have enough to satisfy their needs, and some of the ones they do have are falling apart. I want to ensure the safety of the young lesson-takers so they can grow normally and experience the sport as it should be.

The funds donated to me will go towards buying the signs for the parking spots. It will also go towards buying the wood for the posts, the paint for the posts, and the paint for the parking spot. I will also utilize the money to purchase the wood and fasteners for the portable steps.
