I’m Salvador Hernandez, Joey’s younger brother, I’m writing this with a heavy heart to let you know about the loss of Joey Patiño Hernandez. He unexpectedly passed away from a brain aneurysm. He took his last breath on 01/09/24. Joey was 35 years young with a full life ahead of him, he will always be remembered for his big, bright and infectious smile. He was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. His absence has left an indelible mark on our hearts, and we are committed to ensuring that he is remembered with the love and dignity he deserves. Joey always had a dream of being able to provide for his two younger brothers Jessie and Sal; in turn my brother and I want to give him what he wanted to give us.
In the wake of this devastating tragedy, we are coming together to raise funds for a memorial and funeral service that will celebrate the life of Joey.
