Joey Morans journey with a rare brain tumour

Donation protected
My name is tracy I met Joey when he won an easter hamper from me and I was won over by him, and since this I have been involved with Joey and his family. Joey is 9 years old he would normally be a wild and adventurous boy until the 18th September 2020 when he came to his mother and older brother whom is 14 and showed symptoms like a stroke where his mother Emma called an ambulance straight away taken him to UHL, after test Emma was approached and told that Joey had an infection on the brain and need emergency surgery to relief the pressure that was on his brain and was transferred to templestreet hospital to have his surgery. However after his surery the doctors informed his parents that it was not an infection but a tumour they hadn't seen before so they they had taken samples of the tumour and they would have to wait on results to learn of the tumour. On the 27th of september Joey's parents where informed that Joey's tumour with a high grade Glioma. (PXA) Anaplastic pleomorphic Xanthoastrocytoma, grade 3, on the left anterior parietal region.
Joey had a left temporo-Carniectomy, 1st surgery on the 19-09-2020 followed by his 2nd surgery on the 30-09-2020 which was a near total tumour resection and cranioplasty with synthetic bone flap. This has left Joey with a slight weakness to his right side of the body.
He has had radiation therapy for the maximum course of 30 sessions and chemotherapy for 42days.
During his treatment Joey began to show symptoms with he first present and following an mri in crumlin ir showed the tumour had began to regrow. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy was continued for his own best interest so the cancer cells wouldnt build up a defense against the treatment.
Joey started his chemotherapy cycles again in January and so far has had 2 of his nine cycles but crumlin and templestreet believe he needs the surgery to remove the whole tumour for the best interest of Joey.
A 3rd surgery was due this week but his platelets are too low so in the coming weeks once Joey's platelets are a safe number surgery will be done which will remove the tumour but due to been on his motor strip that controls the right side of his body, Joey and his family will not know the effect this truelly will have on their son and  He will continue with chemotherapy after surgery over a 42week period.
I am wanting to open this page to help support Joey and his family in any shape of form for the long road they will go true with the little warrior on his long journey.
