On the morning of September 22, our family experienced an unimaginable tragedy with the sudden passing of Joey. He was a beloved son, stepson, brother, partner, and a devoted father to his 5 ½ month old baby boy, Brandon.

Joey’s loss has left a hole in the hearts of all who loved him, but most deeply felt by his partner Sophie and their sweet baby. In addition to the heartbreak, Sophie is now faced with the overwhelming responsibility of caring for Brandon and navigating a future that has changed in an instant.

We are starting this fundraiser to help cover not only a small portion of Joey’s funeral expenses if needed, but also—most importantly—to provide Sophie and Brandon with some stability in the weeks and months ahead. Our goal is to help them with housing, basic needs, and the time and space Sophie needs to get back on her feet and care for her little boy without the immediate weight of financial stress.
