Joey (Jay) Gomez "Fight The Fight" with him

Hi, my name is Mary, and I'm Jay's cousin. Jay is a vibrant, loving, and extraordinary 10-year-old boy. On November 8th, I received a text from Jay's dad telling me Jay was sick with Lymphoma. On Nov 21st, Jay was having a hard time breathing, was rushed to the hospital, and was diagnosed with leukemia. Jay's organs began to shut down, and was then transferred to Luries Children's Hospital where he had to be put on dialysis and was fighting for his life. We almost lost him. Jay's levels needed to be stabilized before he could be treated with chemotherapy. He has had a rough time, with so many ports, IVs, and catheters inserted in him. He needs multiple chemotherapy treatments and a lot of care.

My cousin Joe is self-employed and his wife Katie is a teacher. They both are caring for Joey and his little brother Niko. They have a long fight ahead of them.
