if you know joey, you know that his first word was ball. you know that his life revolves around football. you know his passion and commitment to the game and to his team.

starting at age 7 with the santa rosa stallions, he became a mighty mite. he played all the way through jr. midgets as well as in every all stars game. with his last santa rosa stallions team being invited to the football hall of fame tournament in canton, oh.

i'll never forget his first high school game, he was so nervous and so excited at the same time. he loved every minute of it and once again showed his commitment and skill. he was pulled up to varsity his sophomore year, but then covid hit. he had a short 3 game season, but it never slowed him down. he trained in the off season on his own and rallied friends and coaches to train as well. he eats, breaths and sleeps football.

finally his junior year, and school is back in session, and football is BACK. all his off season training was FINALLY going to be showcased. his dream of going to college to play football felt in reach. and then, third game of the pre season, our very first broken bone. fractured ankle and the end to his season.

joey still attended practices & games, cheered on his team mates from the sidelines on his scooter and planned his return.

he showed the same commitment to his rehab as he did during the season. as soon as he was cleared, he was back at it. knowing that he was a year behind others in getting noticed, but committing to do everything he could to get his name and skill out there.

he has joined north coast elite 7's team and will be attending several tournaments over the next few months. we also have plans to register and have him attend multiple college camps ranging from ucla to penn state (fingers crossed) when schedules are released. and finally, even though we thought this was not in the cards for him, he will be heading to vegas for 2022 np national combine at the nfl pro bowl.

it is a joy to watch this kid play, his overall passion, knowledge and skill makes me the proudest mama ever.

that said, as a self emloyed, single mother of 3, this is will be a pretty heavy monetary chunk. not only do we have registration fees, we will have plane tickets, hotel & travel food costs. i'm swallowing my pride and asking for help. please feel free to share this, i appreciate any support! my venmo is also @Tisa-Bowser if you would prefer.
