Joey Codd ~ Fighting SNUC
Donation protected
Hello friends and family,
While we hoped this day would never come, we are now at a point where we are needing to discuss our dear friend, Joey Codd’s medical situation.
Joey is a lot of things, to a lot of people, a husband, a dog dad, a son, a brother, and a friend. But at only 32, Joey was diagnosed with Sinonasal Undifferentiated Carcinoma, an incredibly rare form of brain cancer that has only a “best practice” for treatment.
Since the months of migraines that turned to ER visits, that inevitably turned to prolonged hospital stays and daily treatments across the state, the toll of this new reality goes beyond what insurance has to offer. As some know, Joey and Brittany have not been able to receive the proper level of care in Spokane, where they live, and stay outside of Seattle where he can receive his daily and weekly doses of radiation and chemo. While we’re fortunate to have family supporting this prolonged visit, it doesn’t begin to cover the burden that has now impacted their jobs, their sweet Violet Marie who is still in Spokane, and the added costs of commuting multiple times per day — the transmission was no match for Seattle traffic.
Many of you have asked about ways that you can help, support, or simply are unsure of what to do for them right now, we are creating this GoFundMe as a way to ease their burden durning this time.
Any little bit helps and is deeply appreciated.
We’ll be sure to utilize this space to provide updates as we go but as we’ve learned in this experience so far, these things take time and yet change quickly. ❤️ Thank you all!
