Joey Brown’s Medical Expenses Due to Tragedy

Hello, my name is Kristin Russell and I am Joey Brown’s Sister-In-Law. As some of you may or may not know, while Joey was removing a dead tree, it fell on top of him, and he was trapped underneath it. By the grace of God there was someone there to call for help. The firefighters had to cut Joey free from the tree. Unfortunately Joey suffered fractures from his T12 through L5 vertebrae including severing his L4. Joey underwent an emergency surgery Wednesday, August 25th to fuse together L3, L4, and L5 and decompress the swelling and fluid from his back. Surgery went good, but now we are praying that L1 and L2 re-fuse by themselves with the help of the clam back brace they have placed on him. If they do not re-fuse successfully, he will have to undergo another surgery and have a rod placed which will enable him from ever being able to bend again. Joey will need very extensive rehab for walking and the plan is to send him to a rehab facility for this treatment. Unfortunately Joey’s insurance does not cover rehab facilities and the future treatments he needs to be the very active Father and Husband that he is. Joey loves spending his time outdoors with his wife Briana, and sons Brock and Braysen.
