Joetta Kutscher & Family

Let me start by saying if you ever had the chance to meet Joetta Kutscher, you are one lucky individual. But I don't even have to say that now do I? You already know, because she was just THAT incredible.

Being her eldest granddaughter I had the pleasure of being a part of her life for over 23 years, only a fraction of time compared to most of her friends and family, and got to witness such a spectacular display of genuine kindness and sincerity that one can only hope to experience in a lifetime. She was such a uniquely caring individual, the epitome of "selfless", never asking and always giving. I would say she gave up her life to raise my siblings and I but that wouldn't be a fair statement. From the moment we were born we were, and still are, her life.

We weren't her only babies, though. Before she was even a teenager, her mother had a stroke that put her in the hospital, leaving her as head of the household. She managed to go to school, keep up with the house, cook, clean, take care of her siblings and make it to the hospital every night to visit her Mama. Not long after that, she gave birth to her only son, my father. Her little sister was her first baby and my little sister was her last.

In her lifetime she had so many more "babies", nieces, nephews, cousins, family friends, whom she helped raise and spoil rotten. If you knew her for a good time period, chances are you consider her more like a sister or mother because she made you feel that warmth and love that radiated from her body and soul.

I could write an entire novel about this wonderful woman's life and how much she means to me, and everyone whose life that she touched, but this isn't for that. This is my family and I asking for help, something she would have never done. We are very humble individuals, a trait we learned from her, but we can't deny the fact that we are in a very tough situation now that she is gone. I never knew how hard it would be not only losing someone whom I considered my mother, but dealing with all the expenses thereafter. We were all under the impression that she had a life insurance policy, which she did not. Due to her kind nature and nurturing ways, her savings account is pretty much depleted, having spent it mostly on helping other people get back on their feet (including me) and my siblings medical expenses. With my grandfather (the love of her life) still taking care of my siblings on a fixed income, this has left us with nowhere to turn but to ask for help. There is no goal as far as the amount of money we are asking for, each and every penny will be graciously accepted and very much appreciated. All we want is the proper services to be held for such a lovely lady and a little help getting back on our feet during this very difficult time. Anyone that helps is considered Family, and I know Joetta would agree.

Thank you so very much for being a part of our Family and God Bless.
