On March 31, 2016, Joe Tomei received some terrible news regarding his health. What he thought were some stomach issues quickly snowballed into something much, much bigger, something much, much scarier. Cancer. At 37 years old, Joe was diagnosed with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer with Metastasis to his liver. Joe is now up against the fight of his life.
We know first hand that Joe is a resilient, hardworking man who takes great responsibility for his family and is good to his friends. He is a very humble, caring and loving person. He is very much a family man and loves spending time with his wife, Christy, and his two little girls, Isabella (almost 5) and Sofia (almost 3.) His wife and daughters are the light of his life.
Many of us asked and questioned how or why did this happen? We cannot wrap our head around it. Joe lives a very healthy lifestyle and has no family history of cancer. We are hoping and praying for the right treatment to cure Joe’s cancer. He is going to some of the top doctors in the nation and will start chemotherapy treatment very soon.
We are unsure how long his treatment will be but we would like to help him and his family any way we can. We would like to take the daily stresses out of their lives and try to simplify things for them. We are raising money to help pay for a cleaning lady and lawn care during his treatments as well as any other travel or medical expenses they may incur. No donation is too small and of course prayers are always welcomed.
