Hi Everybody, we have been trying to get a bench for Joe Himmelberg in Hickory Park near Donald Judson. The city didn't offer many options until we came to a compromise. The city offered to put Joe & Donald together.....AWESOME !!
We will need replace Donald's bench, plaque and of course the concrete slab (BUMMER..... it has all our name's in it). We will now have an updated bench, and the "NEW PLAQUE" will have Joe & Donald's information. I am working with Jason Minter the Community Services Manager for Torrance and he will send me a formal proof of the PLAQUE contents for approval.
Ed Himmelberg is prepared to pay for all of it. I thought that a few or all of us would like to contribute a little something ?
The total is $3,500.00
Even if we made a dent in this, it would help.
