Hi there , I’m Joe Smith — a proud Kiwi para-athlete living with cerebral palsy. I’ve spent years turning challenges into fuel, and I’m honoured to say I’ve officially qualified to represent New Zealand at the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi.

I moved to Canberra with my partner to chase my dream of making the 2028 LA Paralympic Games and becoming a Paralympian.

I first discovered para-athletics in my 20s, and since then I’ve broken Auckland records, earned national medals, and set an Oceania record in the 100m. After competing at World Champs Paris 2023, I’m back for more — faster, stronger, and ready to give it everything.

While I’ve qualified and the trip is funded, Your support helps cover domestic travel to events, the cost of a world class coach ,physio, gym specialists,accommodation and competition costs so I can proudly wear the silver fern again.
