My name is Joe Roberts. Im 61 years old. I I live in a small apt in Lewisville Tx. My hometown is Denton. This is new for me. Normally I do this for others. I’m desperate. I also realize times are tough for most of us.

in 2011, I had my first heart attack. Since then, I have had 3 more. One bypass and multiple stents. My last attack was in Jan 2021. In the past few years, I have dealt Atrial fibrillation twice, most recently hospitalized May 2025.

in 2019, I had two Tia strokes. In 2023, I had 3 more. These have left my left hand wit partial paralysis, my balance and timing are off and limits my mobility. I use a grocery cart every time I’m in the store, regardless of how much I need to buy. It’s difficult to find office work again, play guitar and host karaoke due to the limitations with my left hand. Speed and accuracy are required.

I did file for disability in October 2022. If you have experienced that, then you know what I’m up against with time. I’m still waiting for a decision but most recently, have been informed in could be September.

I worked as a driver for a realtor from Dec 2023 until April 2025. Business is slow. He couldn’t keep me on staff. That leads to where I am now. I’m broke. Family has been great but has done all they can do financially. I’m denied loans, since I have no income and credit is not good anymore. Everybody is hiring but nobody is hiring. I cancelled my car insurance and And late on other bills.

i am seeking work. With multiple employment agencies, online sites like indeed, I apply to every referral or lead as long as I know I can do the work. I know my limitations.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t hired recently As a dishwasher. I need about $2200 Month. If I can’t find work, I’m hoping to survive the summer time until a disability decision is made. I want to. work but standing on my feet 8 hours a day on a concrete floor is difficult with a bad ankle. I could go on, but that’s probably enough. I didn’t want to show pics of me in the hospital.

i ask for $5500 to get thru until August 1st. I take it one month at a time. $55 from50 donors will get me to July 1st. $55 can still be a big ask.
