I am organizing this fundraiser in support of Joe Sawatis. Joe has navigated a long journey with IgA nephropathy (kidney disease). While attending to his medical needs (including, but not limited to, dialysis 3X/week), he continued to work and support his family. He is a fantastic father (2 young daughters), husband, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He is a respected community leader; and walks with integrity and respect. He never passes up an opportunity to help another.

Joe started a new beginning; and received his much-needed kidney transplant on Monday, 1/16/2023. He is recovering well; expresses much gratitude for this opportunity; to his organ donor, family, and friends. All proceeds will directly support Joe and his family as they engage in extensive follow-up treatment over the next couple of months and beyond. More specifically, the goal is to alleviate co-pays, ancillary treatment costs, and routine expenses while he recovers and is unable to work.
