Joe's Foot Injury Leaves Family Struggling
Donation protected
Hello, I’m Joe’s wife, Melody, and we’ve sure got ourselves into a tough time right now and for at least the next 2 months. We always pay it forward but never ask for help. I’m dreading posting this because we don’t/hate asking for help. Joe fell and broke his foot while trying to hold the door open for our daughter. (See YouTube video)
If he doesn’t need surgery, he’s out of work for at least 6-8 weeks and possibly physical therapy as well. He’s non weight bearing, using crutches and thankful for a friend that borrowed us his knee scooter to help Joe. That’s thousands of dollars we are losing as he is unable to work. On top of medical bills, I worry we will get behind on our bills since he can’t get short-term disability and my benefits do not cover him. He can’t put any weight on his foot, can’t even drive. If you are able to help, anything would be appreciated. I work full time, we have an autistic 6-year-old daughter who is in therapy and we have extra payments towards that, and now all household chores, bills, and driving are now all on me. I will have to take work off to take him to his upcoming appointments. We’re stressed out. Again, we hate to post this but, if you could help us towards our finances at this time, it would be greatly appreciated. I do also have Venmo @MelHahn - Much love, Melody, Joe, and Aria.
