Joe's Fight Back: Severe Accident Recovery

Hi friends, family, and people I may not know that have been in my corner, praying for me. I want to take a moment to say thank you. I don’t think I would’ve survived this accident without you guys.

On Monday, April 28, I was involved in a very nasty motor vehicle accident where my F350 came out looking like a Ford Ranger. I was ejected from the truck doing 70 miles an hour. I’ve got all kinds of metal plates in my hip now and rods in my knee, broken leg, broken arms, and broken ribs, but God spared my life. Now I can’t walk, I can barely talk, and I’m having to learn how to do all these things again. I’ve been in the hospital almost 3 weeks now and I’m going to a rehabilitation house to learn how to walk and live my life again.

Now, if you know me, you know I own a small construction business called Not Your Average Joe’s Construction. I literally wrecked on my way to work to finish a job. Unfortunately, things went a different way. I don’t know how long it’s going to be before I can walk again, much less get back to laying tile, setting doors, framing walls—the list goes on. I’ve been doing construction for the last 15 years of my life, and that’s how I’ve made my bread and butter to survive.

I really hate asking people for anything, but God has softened my heart and put my pride to the side because I’m going to need help. I just pray that God has it already figured out and I’m just following His instruction in using this platform to get the job done. If there’s anything you can do to help, even a little goes a long way. God spared my life for a reason, so I know I’ve got some figuring out to do along the way. I genuinely can’t wait to get back to work, but that’s a long road away. So, anyhow, any help I can get, respectfully from the bottom of my heart, is greatly appreciated. I have so much love for anyone that helps and anyone that can’t help but can pray for me. It means just as much.
