Joe's Battle with Brain Cancer-Glioblastoma
Donation protected
Our Dad, Joe Kmetz, lost his courageous battle, he fought so bravely and hard, to an aggressive brain cancer, Glioblastoma. He went home to be with the Lord in the wee hours of the morning on December 24, 2022. Dad is celebrating Christmas in Heaven. He is with Jesus for Jesus’s Birthday. Our hearts are so heavy, we miss him so much already yet rejoice with him being at Peace now.

We are so grateful for the many people who have reached out and offered support on behalf of our Dad, Joe. And, this is what brings us to this page. In honor of the health care and love for Joe, by so many people, we have created this page as there are unexpected, numerous, out-of-network, uncovered medical insurance costs.
Before Dad was diagnosed on September 19, 2022, Joe was working with his tax clients, GOLFING, driving, spending time with his wife, family, friends and pets-Gracie and Mandy, and leading a healthy, happy life.
Joe was golfing on August 29th, whiffed the ball (which NEVER happened), felt dizzy and off balance. Thus, the journey began. Initially, he was misdiagnosed with a mini stroke due to the residual effects of Covid. September 19th he had the biopsy surgery and they concluded the surgery almost immediately based on what the surgery team found. The diagnosis was 3 months to live, without radiation (which he had) and 6-9 months with radiation. He completed radiation the first week of November.
Given the nature of this aggressive, terminal disease, Joe's health has declined more rapidly than we could ever imagine. Dad remains strong in his spirit, Faith, attitude, and, he is fighting hard, however, sadly, we lose a little more of him each day. His appetite has been stellar until recently and he was still loving his desserts! He is surrounded by so much love, near and far, and we are forever grateful for this. Dad certainly feels the love and he smiles thinking of the support and the love being shown. He is a special, one-of-a-kind, funny, brilliant, a good-sassy, wonderful man, Husband, Father, Father-in-Law, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Brother-in-Law, and FRIEND.
Please keep Joe in your prayers. We are all holding him close in heart. We love him so much and we love each of you for loving him too.
Thank you for your time, support and prayers as they are needed and so very much appreciated.
