Joel "Slink" Robinson grew up in the small town of Albion, Maine and was a member of Lawrence High School's class of 1989 where he was Vice President of the senior class, a member of the National Honor Society and an integral part of the Eastern Maine championship winning basketball team.
He also attended the University of Maine, where he received a degree in chemical engineering.
Joel was known and respected for his intelligence and love of learning. He closely followed world events and always enjoyed a good discussion.
Joel also had a passion for New England sports and even while living on the west coast, closely followed the Patriots, the Red Sox and the Bruins. While in Los Angeles, Joel could often be found somewhere, enjoying a good beer and listening to live music.
Joel will be forever missed by all who knew him.
His friends and family are coming together to create this scholarship in his name so that he may live on and contribute to the education of students for years to come.
This annual scholarship will go to a Lawrence High School student who will go on to earn an engineering degree, as Joel did.
