Dear Friends and Loved Ones,
In early September, Joelle Tucker was diagnosed with Breast cancer. Anyone who has been touched by Breast Cancer knows that it is a complex and overwhelming disease. The support of family, friends and others will be helpful as Joelle and her family navigate through diagnosis, treatment and beyond.
If you know Joelle, you know she has a zest and edge for life that is unmatched. She is dedicated to her beautiful family, work, and community of friends. Her ability to ride the waves of life with humor and goofiness, love and gratitude, will only continue to serve her in this battle. But Joelle, Arthur, and their 3 children cannot do this alone - they need our support! This fund has been set-up to lessen financial burdens so the Tucker family can fully focus on physical health, mental wellness, and complete recovery.
Diagnosis and Treatment
As with any cancer diagnosis, we are left feeling shocked as quick decisions and treatment plans must be put forward. As Joelle moves through consultations and first-phase treatments we will continue to learn more about the full extent of her diagnosis and treatment.
As of today, Joelle’s first phase of treatment will include a double mastectomy. A procedure that will require a minimum of 8 weeks of recovery. Surgery is scheduled to take place in October at Stanford Hospital.
Costs
- $8,000 – Medical expenses not covered by insurance
- $2,000 – Travel and lodging - Gas expenses to and from Chico to Stanford Hospital and hotel expenses so Joelle’s husband, Arthur, and family may stay close by during hospital stays and medical appointments.
- $5,000 – Miscellaneous expenses including loss of wages, after-care, and wellness support
Please consider donating and/or sharing this page with others who know and love Joelle.
