We are a single parent family, who got tired of housing insecurity after leaving DV, and then endured 2 floods, losing almost everything twice and having to start over several times. In addition to the less than .06% vacancy rates for rentals in Townsville - and landlords selling from under us, trying to ride the market. We have been living on the road for almost a year, in a caravan without a toilet, shower, oven, adequate power, or even hot water. But we made it work
Whilst living on the road, I completed by Honours year in a Bachelor of Psychology, and home educated my 3 children (we are education department approved, and I write my own curriculums for them). Not having adequate power was a huge strain, with me needing to continually purchase petrol to power our generator so that I could power my laptop and starlink, to study and to work online (as a psychology research assistant).

This fundraiser was put together by a small group of our beautiful followers, and created by Rebecca initially, to help us upgrade our caravan - to make life a little bit easier for us.
