Hello my name is lacee Ross In December 2024 Joel Ross My husband was diagnosed with Esophagus Cancer. We don't usually back down from a good fight . We didn't want to ask for help yet we got backed into a corner. The truth is Joel's symptoms and diagnosis has took a turn for the worse .We have had a hard goes before but we absolutely underestimated this fight with cancer.
The sheer amount of Procedures and Doctor appointments , tests, pet scans Endless emotions of life and death.Endless traveling is all already weighing heavily on us but we are trying to stay positive and optimistic. The Traveling is expensive and exhausting. We left for Boston in July for the first time to Get an Upper Endoscopy Ultrasound to be told it had went into deeper tissue it is going to be harder to reach and remove.
It is going to take a very serious surgery with a long recovery time at Massachusetts General Hospital for 2 weeks we are going to be in Boston where doctors is going to be cracking open Joel's chest with Blood transfusion on stand by So he can remove the cancer out of his lower esophagus before it spreads to his lymph nodes and rest of his body. It could take up to a year to recover from the surgery plus feeding tubes and we will still be traveling to appointments and it survival at this point.I am not in the great health myself mentally or physically and am starting to burn out as a partner/mother/ and sole care giver and praying our power don't get shut off because it's a month late.
We would really appreciate some back up for this fight .❤️thank you for your support .
