My name is Amaya, I’m creating this gofundme , for my brother Joel.

My brother is 27 years old, a father of 3 sweet beautiful boys. A hard worker and a sports fanatic. My brother has a huge heart for others and is always quick to crack a joke and make everyone laugh.

My brother is currently in the fight of his life. Joel being diagnosed with Diabetes at the age of 23 we all thought this would be Joel’s biggest challenge, but it was nearly the beginning.

On April 25th my little sister found Joel unresponsive. He was rushed to hospital and admitted into the ICU for 2 weeks. In those two weeks he developed an infection in his lungs, that has spread through his whole body. His heart stopped completely two times and he was revived with CPR.

2 weeks after being admitted he was taken out of his induced coma and moved to regular hospitalization. His doctors had told us that he had heart failure and an infection spreading through his body, yet he was released from the hospital after 2-3 days in regular hospitalization.

My family and i were concerned that it was too soon to have him out of the hospital but we were grateful to God that he was released and back home with us.

Only 1 week passes from his release date and on Monday may 22 my brother is found unconscious once again and readmitted into the same hospital.

This time he is in the hospital for 1 week, the first 2 days my brother was sedated , the 3rd day he was awake and talking with us and a few days later I go to visit him again and the doctors say that he is not doing good at all ; he is re-sedated and very very ill. 1 week passes again and the doctor reveals to us how bad truly his health condition is.

The doctor let us know that he’d have to be transferred to a new hospital to be placed on a machine that he needs to save his life. At his previous hospital my brother also developed pneumonia and has a ton of fluids in his lungs. My brother also was over medicated at his previous hospital and caused multi organ failure through his body. i believe whole heartedly that Jesus is going to heal my brother and save his life. That his life will be a testimony of Gods goodness and grace over him. My brother has saved him several times I know he will do his miracle working power again.

My brother is still currently in the hospital and fighting for his life.

Please continue to pray for his mental and emotional health, of course as well as his physical health.

all the money donated to my brother will be used for his personal finances such as his car payment, car insurance, rent, things for his 3 sons, as well as any medical bills. Any money he is able to spare will be used to get him back on his feet once he recovers and is released from the hospital.
