My name is Vernon Jones,  Joel Martinez is a
nephew to me and the family is Overwhelmed with all the love and support for Joel since his severe car accident. Joel was and honorable
man served his country and served it well had one deployment and when he came back from his deployment he had his mind set on
pursuing a 2nd career as a firefighter and
succeeded with many other aspirations. Joel
was full of ambition and determination and 
was someone who always put others before
himself. He truly was one-of-a-kind, with a
giant heart filled with love for everyone he
met, consistently working to Motivate and
inspire his peers to do better and be better.

Joel was 25 when his life was taken from his
family. He enjoyed cheering for his kids in
karate, spending quality time with his family
during the  holidays and in his limited spare
time, playing and watching basketball. If you
asked his friends and family what his favorite
thing was, they would say playing  basketball
and playing games and training in the martial
arts. 

Joel was also passionate about Jesus having
discussions  with his uncle and his mission in
life was to help people move forward in life.

Thank you for all of your kind words, support
and love. Please continue to recall the stories
from Joel’s life as they are constant reminders
that will keep his memory alive.

All funds raised will go to the family for any
outstanding bills medical cost or any financial hardships the family may be experiencing. Funds
will be transferred to his mother as she will be
