God bless you we have Updated the amount we are collecting due to some new updates received for Joel’s condition we have just found out Joel will be going into surgery next week due to a scan the doctors did. Finding new blood in the brain and they feel it’s best he has this tumor removed to avoid any new infections or life threatening conditions. He is stable and progressing everyday but with this second surgery he will be out longer and when he Is sent home he will have to receive physical and speech therapy. We have been approved for a partial coverage for him but in order for him to receive the therapy he needs we will have to pay out of pocket as well. I am pregnant and at this moment I am unable to work for the safety of myself and Joel with Covid-19 going it’s not safe. Due to an unexpected unforeseen circumstance we are reaching out to ask help for the Diaz family. Joel is a young and amazing 30 year old man of God, who was just getting started with a new life. He recently got married to Keila on December 1, 2018 and she is now pregnant with their first beautiful blessing. Joel had prayed fervently to God to bless them with their baby and their new bundle of joy will be here in the next few months. Joel had been in quarantine because he thought he had COVID-19, so for the safety of his wife and others he remained this way until 3 weeks ago. Sadly, it turned out to be much worse than COVID. On Wednesday morning his wife went to check on him by knocking on the door and she got no response. She had no choice, but to risk herself because the results had not come back yet. She found him unresponsive, so he was taken to the hospital where they found out that he had a stroke that left him with only the left side of his body functioning and loss of speech. The doctors also found a mass in his brain, internal bleeding and an infection. Since then we are glad to say he has been in the recovery process and is making progress everyday! The infection is gone, the internal bleeding in his brain is gone, the mass is cancer free and all glory is to God! We know this is not his end he is a fighter and will make it through. Since then he can have small conversations and is receiving physical therapy and speech, but unfortunately he is unable to work. We don’t know how long this will be because his condition will take a process of therapy to help him get better. Life will be a little different, but because we know he has bills needing to be paid and a baby on the way; we are asking humbly for any help possible! We also ask for prayers, we know Joel and Keila would appreciate this greatly! Keila will be receiving this to her account directly, so we thank you in advance for all your help.
